O que é?
DigUp is a desktop search app for files on your own computer. You pick folders, and it indexes the pictures, PDFs, documents, audio and video inside them using Google DeepMind's EmbeddingGemma 2 model, which maps text, images, audio and video into one shared vector space. You can then type a description such as "a dog on the beach" or "where they talk about sleep" and jump to the matching photo, PDF page, or moment in a recording or video.
Exact strings such as invoice numbers, error codes and names are matched as written, so a search combines meaning with keyword matching. Optional code search indexes your projects and opens results at the matching line in your editor. Indexing and search run locally through llama.cpp, with GPU acceleration on Metal, and Vulkan on Windows and Linux.
The Mac app is SwiftUI and the Windows and Linux app is built with Tauri. The Mac version is a menu bar app that needs Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or later. The model download is about 865 MB.
