What is it?
Resume Matcher keeps one complete master resume and uses it to produce a tailored version for each job description you paste in. It rewrites suggested content, flags missing and shared keywords, and generates a cover letter and optional interview prep grounded in the resume. The tailoring prompts are written not to add skills, tools, employers or metrics that are not already in the master resume.
The app runs on your own machine as a FastAPI backend, a Next.js frontend and a SQLite database, or you can start it with a single Docker container. You can connect OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Groq or a local Ollama model, and an MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor or Codex write the tailored content while the app stores and renders it without an LLM key.
The ATS score and ATS check are computed without any LLM call. The score combines keyword match, skills coverage, job-title match, section completeness and date consistency, and the check extracts PDF text the way an applicant tracking system would. Export is available in PDF with ten templates in A4 or US Letter, and the UI is offered in several languages.
