DBX is a database management client built with Rust and Tauri, aimed at developers who work with many different database engines in one place. It connects to MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Redis, MongoDB, DuckDB, ClickHouse, SQL Server, Oracle and a long list of domestic and analytical databases, and ships as a single app of about 25 MB.

Beyond the usual schema browser and query editor, it includes a data grid with inline editing, schema diff, ER diagrams, explain plans, table import and export, and data transfer between databases. Redis and MongoDB get dedicated browsers, and Kafka, RocketMQ, RabbitMQ, Pulsar, MQTT, Nacos, Consul, ZooKeeper and etcd have their own consoles. The AI SQL assistant can generate, explain and optimize SQL using Claude, OpenAI or local models through Ollama.

DBX can run as a native desktop app on macOS, Windows and Linux, as a web version deployed with Docker, or through a CLI. A separate MCP server lets AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Cursor query databases using connections configured in DBX.
