Agent Zero is an open agent framework for tasks that go beyond chat. Each agent runs inside a Dockerized Linux environment with an XFCE desktop, so it can open GUI applications such as Blender, use a terminal, manage files, and edit ODT, ODS, and ODP documents through LibreOffice while you watch and intervene.

The built-in browser can be annotated: you click page elements to inspect them, change them with instructions, capture components for re-implementation, or leave comments for the agent to act on. An A0 CLI connector lets the same agent work on files and browsers on your host machine, and projects keep files, memory, secrets, and model presets separated per workspace.

The framework is designed for extension. Prompts live in editable folders, tools can be added as plugins, and MCP and A2A connectors are supported. Agents can also create subordinate agents to delegate research, coding, or analysis subtasks.
