What is it?

Fredy searches 29 real estate portals across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Portugal and France for apartments, houses and flats. Searches are configured in a web UI, and new listings are sent through notification channels such as Slack, Telegram, email, ntfy, Discord and Gotify. Listings that appear on several portals are deduplicated by living space, rooms and location.

Beyond alerts, Fredy estimates financing costs for renting or buying, computes real travel times from your own addresses by public transit, car, bike or on foot, and flags listings that show signs of rental scams. It also compares each listing's price per square metre with the local median and lets you attach documents to a listing.

Fredy runs with Docker or Node.js 22.22.0 or higher, stores its data in SQLite, and includes an MCP server so tools like Claude or a local LLM can query your listings. It is licensed under Apache-2.0 with a Commons Clause, so self-hosting is allowed but commercial resale is not.
