What is it?
PriceBuddy is a self-hosted web app for tracking product prices across online stores. You paste in a product URL, and it periodically scrapes the title, image, price and availability, then records the price history so you can judge whether a discount is genuine.
It is built to work with arbitrary stores rather than a fixed list of retailer integrations. Scrape strategies can be tuned per store, and an optional AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or local Ollama) can help recover data from awkward pages. Notifications can be sent through email, Pushover, Gotify, Apprise, Telegram, Discord or ntfy.
The project runs on Docker and is built with Laravel and Filament. A browser extension, a CLI and a REST API extend it for tracking from the product page or scripting access.
