What is it?
Claw3D is a 3D workspace for AI agents that you run on your own infrastructure. Instead of following agent activity through logs and dashboards, you open a live 3D office where agents appear as workers moving through a shared world. From there you can chat with agents, check their status, and handle approvals and sessions.
Claw3D is the visualization and interaction layer, not the agent runtime itself. It connects to OpenClaw through its gateway, to Hermes through a bundled WebSocket adapter, to any orchestrator that exposes a direct HTTP endpoint, or to a built-in demo gateway for trying the office without a real agent framework. The Studio server proxies WebSocket traffic so the browser only talks to Studio.
The frontend is built with Next.js, React, and TypeScript, with Three.js and React Three Fiber for the 3D office and Phaser for the office layout builder.
Key features
- 01Real-time 3D office where agents move around and show activity
- 02Agent chat, fleet management, approvals, and session controls
- 03Office layout builder for editing and publishing layouts
- 04Connects to OpenClaw, Hermes, custom HTTP runtimes, or a demo gateway
- 05Access token protection and upstream host allowlists for public deployments
Use cases
- Watching a team of AI agents run code reviews or QA pipelines in one view
- Demonstrating agent behavior visually with the built-in demo gateway
- Reaching a remote agent setup over Tailscale or an SSH tunnel
Quick start
- 1
Install dependencies with npm (Node.js 20+ recommended)
npm install - 2
Copy the example environment file
cp .env.example .env - 3
Start the Studio dev server, then open http://localhost:3000 and connect to a gateway
npm run dev
Things to know
- It needs a separately running OpenClaw, Hermes, or custom runtime, or the bundled demo gateway, to show live agents.
- It is an unofficial community project and is not affiliated with the OpenClaw team.
