What is it?

PRINTFILM is a template-driven creation platform for two kinds of video: short marketing or educational clips, and episodic AI comic dramas. A user enters a topic or script, the system breaks it into storyboard shots, generates images and videos for each shot, and uses FFmpeg to assemble the final cut. Narration is produced within the Seedance video generation step, so no separate voiceover is needed.

The comic-drama side supports outlines, plot summaries and full scripts, with a reusable asset library for characters, scenes and props so they stay consistent across episodes. The short-video side offers more than 20 built-in style templates and a choice between full image-plus-video output and faster still-image output. Individual shots can be regenerated without rerunning the whole pipeline, and tasks keep running after the page is closed.

The project includes a user frontend, an admin console for users, orders, templates and model routing, and an open API under /api/v1. It runs on Python 3.12 with FastAPI and PostgreSQL on the backend and React on the frontend, and can be started with Docker. Model access is configured through a TokenFree API key.
