What is it?

oh-my-agent (oma) is a harness that sits on top of the coding agent you already use. It defines 12 specialist roles (PM, architect, backend, frontend, mobile, database, infra, QA reviewer, debugger, refactorer, docs curator, researcher) and 21 slash-command workflows such as /plan, /orchestrate, /review and /debug. Each role carries its own skills, which the agent loads when a task needs them.

The workflows pass work between steps through files: plans, design docs, API contracts, ADRs, bug notes and per-agent results are written into a portable .agents/ folder. In long-running workflows, a stop gate can send the agent back to work until a project's own test, lint or typecheck script passes. The same folder is written into the config files of 14 runtimes, including Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, Antigravity, OpenCode and GitHub Copilot.

Beyond software development, the project includes workflows for cited research, slide decks, MP4 video generation, images, local voice and PDF/HWP-to-Markdown conversion. It is installed through bun or npm and configured through an interactive setup.

Key features

  • 01Twelve specialist roles that plan, build, review and debug in parallel
  • 0221 slash-command workflows, also triggerable from plain-language requests
  • 03Stop gate that keeps the agent working until your own test script passes
  • 04Portable .agents/ folder written into each supported runtime's config files
  • 05Plans, ADRs and per-agent results saved as files you can open
  • 06Research, slide, video and document conversion workflows

Use cases

  • Splitting a feature into tasks and having several agents build them in parallel
  • Running a code review pass with OWASP, accessibility and code-quality checks
  • Keeping one shared set of agent skills and rules across Claude Code, Cursor and Codex
  • Producing cited research, slide decks or short videos from a brief

Quick start

  1. 1

Install the oma command globally with bun

    bun install --global oh-my-agent
  2. 2

Run the interactive setup to pick runtimes, language and skill preset

    oma
  3. 3

Check the install with the doctor command

    oma doctor
  4. 4

In your agent, inside the project, ask for a plan

Things to know

  • Needs bun installed, and the hooks and some workflows fail silently without the global oma command.
  • The setup writes telemetry opt-outs and some files outside the project, such as ~/.claude.json, unless you change its settings.
  • On Windows some runtimes are hidden and the hook wrapper is a bash script, so bash is needed for some features.
