shuohao-skills is a set of self-contained skills for producing AI short dramas from a source novel or original story. The pipeline runs in stages: a five-piece adaptation outline, a character bible, scene and prop art specifications, a screenplay with duration estimates and per-character line books, opening staging for each scene, and a storyboard that splits scenes into generation segments and keyframes.
Each skill is a folder with a SKILL.md workflow and zero-dependency Node.js scripts that validate outputs against quality gates and render HTML reports. The skills are not tied to one agent runtime; the installer symlinks them into Claude Code and Codex, and other agents can load SKILL.md directly. A separate character-refs skill generates reference images for characters, with an anchor front view and other views derived from it.
The repository also includes a script that merges the reports from the outline, character, art, screenplay and storyboard stages into a single page with a left-hand navigation.

Things to know
- The skills are Chinese-first, and novel-characters produces Chinese profiles even for English source novels.
- The character-refs skill needs an image model: your own ComfyUI, local codex image generation, an OpenAI API key, or a custom command.
- The storyboard stage does not automatically import staging.json yet; opening blocking must be copied by hand.
