What is it?

Claper lets presenters upload a PDF, PPT or PPTX deck and attach interactions to any slide. Attendees join from their phone by scanning a QR code or entering an event code, with no app or account needed. Supported interactions include live Q&A with moderation, polls, scored quizzes, feedback forms, emoji reactions and real-time captions.

The presenter has a separate presenter view, and responses appear live on the slides. Messages, results and transcripts can be exported as CSV after the event. Embeds for YouTube, Vimeo, Canva, Google Slides and arbitrary web pages are supported.

Claper can be run on Claper Cloud or self-hosted with Docker Compose. Self-hosted deployments support SSO via OpenID Connect, LTI 1.3 integration with Moodle and other LMS platforms, local or S3-compatible storage, and SMTP or Postmark email. The application is built with Elixir, Phoenix LiveView and PostgreSQL, and is licensed under AGPL-3.0.
