Mailspring is a desktop email client for Mac, Windows and Linux. It is a continuation of Nylas Mail, with its JavaScript sync layer replaced by a C++ sync engine based on Mailcore2. The UI is written in TypeScript with Electron and React and is built around a plugin architecture, so developers can extend it with plugins and themes.

The client includes a Unified Inbox, Snooze, Send Later, Mail Rules and Templates. A paid Pro tier adds link tracking, read receipts, mailbox analytics and contact and company profiles. Mail credentials stay on the local machine rather than being sent to a cloud service.

Builds are available for Windows, macOS and Linux (deb, rpm and snap), and the project can also be run from source with npm.
