Cloudflare OS is an agent workspace originally built for Cloudflare's own staff. Users chat with agents that are preloaded with company context, and they can ask agents to write documents, build small personal apps called Gadgets, or run tasks directly. Each Gadget is a private instance that runs in its own sandbox, and can be shared with colleagues through a share link or a copy-able Blueprint.

Access to external services is controlled by Gatekeepers, per-service components that handle OAuth, narrow resource access, action logging, and human approval. Agents and Gadgets start with no access and must be introduced to each resource explicitly. Approval-requiring actions are simulated so agents can keep working and users can approve them in bulk later.

The system runs on Durable Objects and Dynamic Workers. It can be started locally with pnpm and wrangler, or deployed to a Cloudflare account. The README notes that running on your own servers via workerd is still in progress, and the project is in early access and is not currently accepting outside contributions.
