Data is organized as timeseries grouped under databases, and is queried with an SQL-like language through a command-line client, JDBC, or import and export tools. It integrates with Hadoop and Spark for analysis and with Grafana for visualization. Its TsFile dependency provides a columnar storage file format designed for time series.

The project ships as a binary distribution, can be built from source with Maven, and is also available as a Docker image. It requires Java 17 or later and runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.
