Stirling PDF is an open-source PDF platform that can run as a desktop app, in the browser, or on your own server with a private API. It covers more than 50 PDF operations, including editing, merging, splitting, signing, redaction, format conversion, OCR and compression.

Because it can be self-hosted, documents do not need to be sent to external services. It is deployable with Docker, with Kubernetes mentioned as an installation option, and its interface is available in more than 40 languages.

For integration, REST APIs are provided for nearly all tools, and no-code pipelines can chain operations together in the UI for batch automation.
