Family tree software stores people, relationships and sources, and several projects here support GEDCOM import and export so data can move between tools. Choose between a desktop program like Gramps (GPL-2.0) and a self-hosted web app like webtrees (GPL-3.0, with GEDCOM import and export), and note that both licenses are copyleft. If you only need Chinese kinship terms, mumuy/relationship is a small JavaScript calculator for that one task.
