What is it?
MrDoc is a self-hostable document and knowledge base system aimed at individuals and small to medium-sized teams. It covers creating documents, organizing them into projects, publishing them, and querying their content with an AI knowledge base, so that everything written can also serve as a knowledge source for AI.
Documents can be written in Markdown, rich text or spreadsheet formats, with support for images, attachments, formulas, mind maps, flow charts and ECharts diagrams. Access can be set to public, private, specified users or access codes, and projects can be exported or published as PDF and EPUB. The project also offers a Token API for editing and searching documents, plus SEO and llms.txt support for public sites.
Deployment is available through Docker Compose, a Windows deployment panel, and several community-maintained scripts and images. Clients include a browser web clipper, a desktop client for Windows, macOS and Linux, an Android app, and an Obsidian sync plugin. The open-source edition is GPL-3.0 licensed, and a professional edition is offered separately.
