What is it?

MulmoTerminal shows multiple AI coding-agent sessions side by side in a browser grid. Each cell is a real pseudo-terminal streamed to xterm.js, so Claude Code is the default and Codex, Antigravity, Grok, Muse, GitHub Copilot CLI and Cursor CLI are also supported. Cell borders and a roster reflect whether a session is working, waiting for a permission or answer, or finished, with an attention chime when one needs input off-screen.

Sessions run inside tmux when it is installed, so they survive server restarts and reloads. Each repo cell can isolate work in a git worktree, show the branch and diff, and commit, push or open a pull request. A Canvas panel renders agent output such as documents, forms, charts and HTML over MCP, and a Web Push notification can alert your phone when a task finishes.

It runs locally with a single npx command and needs Node 22.12 or later plus the agent CLIs you use.

Key features

  • 01Grid of live agent sessions with state-based color coding and an attention chime.
  • 02Supports Claude Code by default plus Codex, Antigravity, Grok, Muse, Copilot CLI and Cursor CLI.
  • 03Sessions persist across server restarts when tmux is installed.
  • 04One-click git worktrees, diff panel, and commit, push and PR actions per repo cell.
  • 05Canvas panel renders agent output such as documents, forms and charts over MCP.
  • 06Web Push notifications to your phone when a task finishes or needs input.

Use cases

  • Running five or more Claude Code agents on different tasks and spotting which one is blocked on a permission prompt.
  • Letting several agents work on the same repository at once, each in its own git worktree.
  • Supervising long-running agent work from a phone and answering prompts remotely.
  • Keeping dev servers, test runners and agents in the same grid of terminals.

Quick start

  1. 1

    Install Node.js 22.12 or newer

  2. 2

Install and log in to the Claude Code CLI (claude) on your PATH

  3. 3

Start MulmoTerminal; it opens in your browser at localhost:34567

    npx mulmoterminal@latest

Things to know

  • By default it needs the Claude Code CLI installed and already logged in; other agent CLIs require configuring a default agent.
  • Restart persistence across server restarts relies on tmux, which you must install separately.
