What is it?

Invoice Builder creates and manages invoices and quotes with a live PDF preview and A4 or Letter formats. Businesses, clients, bank accounts, items, categories, units and currencies can be imported and exported as XLSX. Financial handling covers surcharges, discounts, shipping, inclusive or exclusive tax, partial payments and document states.

Data stays on the user's machine in a database file they own. The desktop build for Windows, Linux and macOS uses SQLite, and a Docker deployment can run with SQLite or PostgreSQL for multi-device access. Full database backup and restore, JSON export and import, and per-document snapshots keep historical records accurate.

Invoices can also be exported as UBL 2.1, Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 or XRechnung XML for e-invoicing. The project is built with Electron, React and Node.js.
