What is it?
dayGLANCE is a day planner built around a real-time "Glance Panel" that summarizes the current day, including color-coded tasks, a live marker for remaining free time, and overdue items. Tasks are placed on a 24-hour timeline by dragging them, with multi-day, week and month views, plus an inbox for capturing tasks before scheduling them.
Beyond scheduling, it includes routines and recurring tasks, habit tracking, a weekly review, goals and projects organized into a Goals → Projects → Tasks hierarchy, and a Pomodoro-style Focus Mode. Data stays in the browser by default. The app can be used at dayglance.app, self-hosted with Docker (linux/amd64 and linux/arm64), or run as native desktop, Android and Apple apps.
Sync is optional and runs through WebDAV or Nextcloud, a folder synced by another app, or an Obsidian vault, with optional end-to-end encryption using AES-256-GCM. AI, health data, Stream Deck and TRMNL display integrations are off by default and must be enabled.

Things to know
- Some integrations are platform-specific: iCloud sync and native Apple Calendar work only on Apple devices, and Health Connect only on Android.
- The Google Play and App Store apps are commercial binaries, while the source code is MIT-licensed.
- Self-hosting needs care: the container should not be exposed to the public internet without authentication or an access-controlled reverse proxy.
