What is it?
MapToPoster JS lets you search for any place in the world and turn it into a printable map poster. You can choose between raster themes rendered with Leaflet, such as Minimal White, Midnight Dark and Satellite View, and vector artistic themes rendered with MapLibre GL, such as Arctic Frost and Blueprint Classic.
The editor covers layout as well as styling. You can add and drag markers, plot travel routes using OSRM routing, add a mat or passepartout frame, toggle country names, coordinates and labels, and draggable city-label overlays. Settings persist in LocalStorage.
Exports are PNG files at custom resolutions, up to 50,000px. Everything runs in the browser, so location data is not sent to a server. The project is built with Vite and Tailwind CSS and includes a Docker setup that serves the static build with Nginx.
