What is it?
YouTube Automation Agent is a self-hosted Node.js application that handles the production side of a YouTube channel. It researches topics, drafts scripts, generates narration and visuals, assembles MP4 videos, and writes titles, descriptions and tags. Approved videos are scheduled and uploaded through the YouTube Data API.
Every finished video passes fact review, media-rights confirmation and your explicit approval before publishing, and autonomous mode does not skip these checks. Simulated or placeholder media is clearly marked and cannot be approved or uploaded. Lessons drawn from analytics, retention curves and comments are proposed for your sign-off before they affect future videos.
The agent works with several text providers, including Gemini, OpenAI, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM and MiniMax, and with multiple AI video providers. Local slideshow rendering is the default, so no paid video generation happens unless you enable it. A web dashboard and HTTP API run on your machine with your own keys.
