What is it?

Plannotator is a local review tool for AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, and Pi. It hooks into the agent so that when it proposes a plan or finishes writing code, the work opens in the browser, where you can mark it up with inline annotations and send structured feedback back to the agent.

Besides plan review, it covers annotating markdown files, folders, URLs and rendered HTML artifacts, and reviewing local Git changes or GitHub and GitLab pull and merge requests with a side-by-side diff viewer. Comments on diffs go back to the agent session, and an optional Ask AI feature can answer questions about what you are reviewing.

Sharing is optional. Small markdown shares are encoded in the URL fragment, while larger shares are encrypted client-side before upload to a paste service that can be self-hosted. Settings and plans are stored locally by default, and telemetry is not collected.
