What is it?

Oh My PPT is an Electron and React desktop app for building presentations with AI. You describe a topic, pick a canvas size such as 16:9, 4:3, 9:16 or 1:1, and the model drafts an outline, layout and colour scheme, then renders each page as editable HTML. You can also upload txt, md, csv or docx files, or import an existing PPTX, which the app converts into editable pages.

After generation you can drag and resize elements, chat with the AI to revise a single page, insert images and videos, add animations, and undo or roll back to earlier versions. An optional image model can generate illustrations and backgrounds, and the app supports local Ollama models through an OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Sessions and assets are stored on your own machine.

Export options include editable PPTX, PDF, PNG images, a long PNG, MP4 video and a standalone HTML bundle that opens in any browser. Presenter scripts and a full-screen presentation mode are also included.

Key features

  • 01Generates HTML slides from a topic prompt, with outline, layout and colour scheme planned automatically.
  • 02Imports existing PPTX files and exports editable PPTX, PDF, PNG, MP4 and HTML bundles.
  • 03Lets you drag elements, chat with the AI to edit a page, and roll back to earlier versions.
  • 04Supports optional AI image generation and works with local Ollama models via an OpenAI-compatible API.
  • 05Offers 90+ built-in style presets, custom styles, and font selection including Chinese fonts.

  • Producing social-media image carousels in portrait or square formats.
  • Running the whole workflow offline with a local model for private material.

Things to know

  • You must configure your own AI model (cloud API key or local Ollama) before slides can be generated.
  • Release builds may be unsigned, so macOS and Windows show security warnings on first launch.
  • AI image generation needs a separately configured and verified image-generation provider.
