What is it?

DuduLove Memory stores memory against a persistent identity called a Resident rather than a single chat session or agent instance. The same Resident can be reached from a web interface, MCP, HTTP clients, or a personal agent while keeping its history and permissions. Multiple Residents can share common facts in a shared world store while keeping their private experiences separate.

Recall is split by purpose instead of relying only on vector similarity. Identity recall surfaces stable traits and boundaries, association recall brings up related past experiences while tracking what has already surfaced in a session, and evidence recall keeps source information attached. Writes pass through a central admission step that handles ownership, lifecycle, sources, duplicates, and rejections, so corrected or rejected memories are not silently written back.

The service runs locally with a file-based data directory, and keyword search and basic memory management work without any model provider. Semantic search and content organization are optional and use a user-configured OpenAI-compatible endpoint. It requires Node.js 22.13 or newer.

Key features

  • 01Multiple Residents with fixed IDs and separate private memory
  • 02Server-side identity resolution and adjustable read permissions
  • 03Identity, association, and evidence recall combined per scenario
  • 04Session recall ledger with cooldown to reduce repeated memories
  • 05Keyword search that works offline, with optional semantic search
  • 06Editable history, source tracking, and recoverable deletions

Use cases

  • Giving a personal AI assistant continuous memory across different clients
  • Running a private memory store on your own server instead of a hosted service
  • Letting several agents share project facts while keeping personal context separate
  • Correcting or retiring outdated memories without losing their history
