What is it?

Loris Tunnel is a desktop application that puts SSH port forwarding and local service publishing into one graphical workspace. Tunnels can be organized into groups, and each one shows connection status, latency, traffic and logs.

The SSH provider supports local, remote and SOCKS5 forwarding through one or more ordered jump hosts, with password, private key or SSH agent authentication. It can also import SSH commands and SSH config entries. The other providers wrap official CLIs: Microsoft Dev Tunnel and cloudflared for publishing local services, and frpc for mapping ports through an existing FRP server. The free plan allows three concurrent tunnels; an active Pro license removes that limit and enables cloud backup of the configuration file.

The app is built with Wails, using Go on the backend and Vue 3 on the frontend. It is available from the Microsoft Store and as installers for macOS and Windows.

Key features

  • 01Manages SSH local, remote and SOCKS5 forwarding through multi-hop jump hosts.
  • 02Wraps Microsoft Dev Tunnel, Cloudflare Tunnel and FRP client in one interface.
  • 03Groups tunnels and starts or stops them independently.
  • 04Shows connection status, latency, traffic and activity logs.
  • 05Reconnects automatically and can auto-start selected tunnels.
  • 06Imports SSH commands and SSH config entries.

Use cases

  • Reaching a database or internal service behind a jump server from a laptop.
  • Opening a local development web app to a stable Cloudflare hostname.
  • Sharing a local service through an existing self-hosted FRP server.
  • Keeping several SSH forwards organized and monitored in one window.

Quick start

  1. 1

Download the installer from Microsoft Store or the Releases page (Windows) or the .dmg from Releases (macOS)

  2. 2

Install the Wails CLI v2.16.0 (build from source)

    go install github.com/wailsapp/wails/v2/cmd/wails@v2.16.0
  3. 3

Install frontend dependencies in the frontend folder with pnpm

    pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
  4. 4

Build the production app (output in build/bin)

    wails build

Things to know

  • Runs only on macOS and Windows.
  • Free plan allows 3 concurrent tunnels, and cloud backup requires an active Pro license.
  • Dev Tunnel, Cloudflare and FRP need their external CLIs (Dev Tunnel CLI, cloudflared, frpc) installed separately.
