What is it?
This repository holds two independent Codex skills. The first, rw-consulting-ppt, takes industry reports, meeting notes, interview material and partial bullet outlines and produces consulting-style slides. It works in stages: it aligns on audience and format, builds a storyline and per-page briefs, generates one or two sample pages for approval, then batch-produces full 16:9 PNG slides. Each page is built around a proof object such as a funnel, route map, player landscape, risk bridge or decision matrix rather than a stack of cards.
The second skill, astralow-for-editable-ppt, converts a single slide image or screenshot into a more editable PowerPoint, keeping text, numbers and main structure as native objects while leaving complex visuals as cropped images. Rendering and Office verification require Windows with desktop PowerPoint; the skill also needs Python 3.10+, python-pptx and Pillow.
The default output is a set of PNG slides plus an image-only PPTX, where each page is one full picture, so it is best for read-only report decks rather than heavily editable ones.
Key features
- 01Turns rough research and meeting material into a storyline and per-page briefs.
- 02Builds each slide around a proof object such as a funnel, route map or risk bridge.
- 03Generates sample pages for approval before batch-producing a full deck.
- 04Packages approved PNG slides into an image-only PPTX.
- 05Converts single slide images into editable PPTX with native text and shapes where possible.
Use cases
- Turning industry research into a six-page management briefing deck.
- Producing a standalone recap deck from a long client meeting transcript.
- Restoring partial editability for a few key pages of an existing slide image.
Quick start

mkdir -p ~/.codex/skills/rw-consulting-ppt ~/.codex/skills/astralow-for-editable-ppt - 2
Install Python dependencies for the editable-PPT conversion skill
python -m pip install -r skills/astralow-for-editable-ppt/requirements.txt - 3
Invoke the rw-consulting-ppt skill in Codex with your research materials and output preferences
Things to know
- Default output is image-only PPTX, so pages are not natively editable without a separate conversion step.
- Rendering and Office validation of the editable-PPT skill requires Windows desktop PowerPoint.
- The editable-PPT skill requires the user to select the Astra low model; it does not switch models automatically.
- Multi-page editable conversion is not automated and must be merged and checked manually.
