What is it?
Agent Reach is a capability layer that lets AI agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or OpenClaw read and search sites that are normally hard for them to access. It covers web pages, YouTube subtitles and search, RSS feeds, GitHub repositories, Twitter/X, Bilibili, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, XiaoHongShu, LinkedIn, V2EX, Xueqiu, and podcasts, with full-web search through Exa.
Each platform has an ordered list of backends. The tool probes them in turn, uses the first one that works, and reports the current choice through an agent-reach doctor command. When an upstream tool breaks, the backend can be swapped without changing how the agent is used. Platforms that need login rely on user-supplied cookies or a browser session that the user controls.
The install flow is designed for agents: it checks the environment by default, makes system changes only when --system is passed, and offers a dry-run mode. Credentials are stored locally in a config file with restricted permissions.
Key features
- 01Reads public web pages, YouTube subtitles, RSS feeds and GitHub repositories without extra configuration.
- 02Searches and reads Twitter/X, Reddit, Bilibili, XiaoHongShu and other login-gated platforms after setup.
- 03Automatically selects a working backend per platform and reports the active one through a diagnostic command.
- 04Installs and registers skill files so agents know which commands to call.
- 05Keeps credentials in a local file with restricted permissions and offers dry-run and uninstall options.
Use cases
- Asking a coding agent to summarize a YouTube tutorial or Bilibili video.
- Having an agent search Twitter or Reddit for user reactions to a product or a bug report.
- Letting an agent read GitHub issues and repository details while researching a project.
- Giving an agent full-web search and clean reading of web pages during research tasks.
