What is it?
House Control draws your floor plan as a 3D scene built from a single JSON file, with rooms, walls, doors, windows and furniture. Lamps light the scene and running air conditioners show airflow. You can toggle and dim lights, set colour and white temperature, and adjust AC power, target temperature, mode and fan speed, with one-tap scenes for the whole home.
The app is a native shell (AppKit on macOS, SwiftUI on iPhone) around a Three.js web UI. Devices come from Smart Life / Tuya, Home Assistant, Philips Hue and Apple Home, and can be mixed in one home. Without any sign-in, every device is simulated so the app can be tried first. A visual editor lets you draw rooms and link each lamp or AC to a real device.
The Mac and iPhone apps can be paired over the local network with a QR code and keep the floor plan in sync over TLS, without a server. The project also offers a menu bar island, widgets, and an AI Access mode that exposes lights and ACs to AI assistants through a private link or MCP.
